This phase will challenge athletes mentally and physically in order to make them the best versions of themselves.Classes will be from June 10th to August 8th, with a one-week break for the Fouth of July. A morning session from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and an afternoon session from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. will be available Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.Sessions will consist of a power- or strength-focused movement along with speed, power, hypertrophy, agility, and endurance-based work. Testing will be done at the start of the program to establish a baseline, then measured again at the end to show measurable progress.Registration is $225 per month with a $50 fee to reserve a spot. Limited class sizes will provide a more individualized approach and more opportunity for 1-on-1 coaching. In order to develop athletes to their highest potential, we focus on building speed and power using the best methodology available. Athletes need to do exercises and progress abilities relevant to their sport.Individually TailoredEven in a group class setting, athletes should be given a personalized plan to improve what they need to improve. Plenty of programs are available that may target similar goals, but no two athletes are the same. An offensive lineman should train differently than a gymnast.CrossFit MethodologyConstantly varied, functional movement performed at a relatively high intensity. This methodology is sound in almost all disciplines. Bottom line: It works. This program will draw heavily from the years of experience developed in CrossFit training. We will also incorporate other principles from tried-and-true models of strength and conditioning.ResultsResults can come in many ways. Quality of movement, speed of a barbell, weight lifted, and many others. If we can’t deliver meaningful changes during this academy, something went wrong. The athletes will witness their growth throughout our weeks together and, in turn, become better athletes.
